After a very long weekend of camping, rain, music, and not showering for 5 days!! I am now home from a very amazing Festival! I had such an fantastic time and I really do have the best group of friends I could ever ask for :) We saw such amazing bands! Sad to be back home to reality as today I feel so moody and down :(
I enrolled onto my Art college this morning and I officially start that next Monday and I honestly cannot wait now. I'm really in need of something new and a change of routine to stop me feeling so sad and down about life... I know it is silly to say, as I honestly rarely feel down about life and I am usually a very happy person but lately, if it wasn't for my friends and family that keep me going I would be even more of a state! But yes, I feel as if starting something new next week is going to be the best thing that has happened to me for a while :) (fingers crossed anyway...)
I feel like I have missed out on a whole years worth of Fashion news being away for 6 days so I really need to get into the swing of blogging again.
I'll post soon and leave you with some photo's of the festival... xoxoxoxo

Inspiration from the Honourable
Daphne Guinness is my ultimate fashion icon. She is literally one of my most favourite people in the entire world and I really do idolise her beauty, her style, her glamour, her generosity and kindness. She has a twitter account (@TheRealDaphne) And I always find her tweets eye opening, mesmerising and they make me think - a lot.
Last night whilst I was lying awake in bed around 3am, we had the following conversation:
@TheRealDaphne Why isn't it :(

Wishing for a world that is more accepting twitpic.com/6a6wil
@CharlotteLucyy Because Innocence has been lost to greed and to ambition. I cannot bring myself to judge though. i am not perfect!
@TheRealDaphne It's so sad. But you are perfect in eyes like mine, may I ask your advice on something?
@TheRealDaphne Where can I seek for inspiration, when I am feeling so low? I feel hopeless
@CharlotteLucyy I am reading extensively, I know that is ridiculous, but history is a great comfort. We are all just a part of a whole..
@TheRealDaphne ahh, do you recommend any good reads? A trip to a gallery/museum is on for tomorrow to help me and then the library...
@CharlotteLucyy Marcus Aurelius!
@TheRealDaphne wonderful! Thank you Daphne and goodnight! X
So, it looks as though I may have to check out this Marcus Aurelius. My source of inspiration (as well as Daphne) because I'm finding it quite hard to think of idea's for my summer project and it needs to be done in just over a week (PANIC!)
But I am going to a local art gallery/museum today with my friends - one of the tasks that we have to do for the project, so hopefully discussing it with them, seeing visual art will inspire me and means I can knuckle down with it.
However I am going to Reading festival and I could kind of do without that at the moment, but I know my friends will make it a memorable 6 days :)
Have a good day!

Marc Jacobs for Dior?
I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs, as a person and as a designer. I love his Marc Jacob's range and I especially love everything he has done for Louis Vuitton. I personally think that his AW11 collection was sublime and I remember watching the live stream and I thought it was fantastic. And it is my favourite collection of this season.
I also have a strong opinion on the whole John Galliano situation. I absolutely adore Galliano and it makes me so, so depressed that he no longer works for Dior and even his own name brand John Galliano! It actually destroys me and I miss him so so much as a designer :( He was so inspiring to me... but that is a different story I could rant for hours about.
So if Marc Jacob's leaves LV, who will take over Vuitton? Well, reading twitter rumours all day many have been saying it might be Celine designer Phoebe Philo. These are just rumours and nothing has been confirmed, yet. But the creative directer position at Dior needs to be filled at some point and quite soon as possible really!
Here are some twitter status' today I have been reading and finding info from:
If I could have it my way I would have Marc Jacob's stay at Louis Vuitton and Galliano back at Dior (haha) but obviously that will not be happening in a million years! I really do think Marc Jacobs belongs at Louis Vuitton and I wish they could find someone fresh and new at Dior. But we could sit and talk about thing all day and we're just going to have to wait and find out......

WOW - BIG NEWS! Report: Marc Jacobs to Dior, Phoebe Philo to Louis Vuitton bit.ly/nqSDqY
Here we go again with the fashion rumours; latest one doing the rounds: Marc Jacobs IS going to Dior and Phoebe Philo to Louis Vuitton.
#MarcJacobs said headed to #Dior, leaving #LouisVuitton open for Phoebe Philo (who'll also do Celine) & starting a major LVMH reshuffling.

Evening...
Sorry for the lack of posts over the weekend. I have been kind of lazy, but also busy at the same time... Friday night I went out for a meal to celebrate my A-Level results with my family. Then Saturday consisted of sorting my seriously messy drawers out. I have now gone from having one Art drawer to two! And then last night, I really really wanted to go out. Like, I just had to. But, as usual on a Saturday, my friends were all busy or at work so I knew they were unable to come out. Plus I wanted to go to this place I absolutely love but none of my friends like it :( So, I went out with one of my ex's (an olddddd one) and his friends. And it was actually really good! I saw my most recent ex and we spoke lots and stuff and had our photo took three times and I'm dreading when I see them and my friends screw at me. But why exactly should they care? It's just so frustrating.
I just feel like I over analyse situations so much. That I care about what people think too much and I literally NEVER think about myself and I think I really need to stop worrying and caring so much!
In other news my Mom ordered the ALEXANDER MCQUEEN: SAVAGE BEAUTY BOOK and it came Saturday morning and I was just over the moon, it's so beautiful!
It's so precious!!!
Tomorrow I will blog more seriously and focused (part of my "getting my act together") As well as getting up at 7:30am and not sleeping in till a ridiculous time like I have been. Then finally knuckling down with my summer project. So I'll probably be posting idea's and stuff that I have on here!
I shall leave you with some inspiring words......

Future Queen in McQueen
The beautiful Kate Middleton in Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2011. Kate is a very fond McQueen wearer. Not only as her Wedding Dress but when she is out and about.
I couldn't choose a better person to represent McQueen, than our British future Queen :)

High Street VS. Designer
Decided to try and find a high street version of a designer item of clothing as an occasional post every now and then on my blog. We all know that the designer version is always, far more better but does not hurt to find copy!
Here is what i found this week whilst shopping in Topshop the other day:
If the Topshop version's sleeves were long sleeved and not three quarters, then maybe I would consider purchasing......

Nerves are kicking in!
I just want to apologise for not posting the last few days. I have had conjunctivitis in my one eye and haven't been able to come online at all (has given me an excuse to catch up with Keeping up with the Kardashians Season 6!) But it has finally cleared up today and posting shall return back to normal now. I feel like I have so much to blog about, I have to keep writing lists so that I remember!
I am super nervous about tomorrow as I have to collect my A-Level examination results and I am so scared so wish me luck!! As long as I have passed each of my three subjects I will be happy :D
So I will post as soon as possible so keep your eyes peeled! Hope everyone is well!

Another Wedding...
On Friday July 29, AnOther Contributing Fashion Editor and Dazed & Confused Fashion Editor Katie Shillingford married Alex Dromgoole in the 1930s Art Deco decadence of Eltham Palace, Greenwich. Another absolutely beautiful, but different Wedding in contrast to Kate Moss'
Kate Shillingford's dress was designed by Gareth Pugh. And I have to admit - it's absolutely beautiful. On the night she changed into a Gareth Pugh gold dress from his AW11 collection with AW11 Miu Miu shoes. The photo's are amazing, there aren't many and I got them from this website :-)
Check them out and let me know what you think. (Photograpy by Amy Gwatkin)

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince's Wedding
The September issue of Vogue US has exclusive photo's of Mr and Mrs Hince's absolutely beautiful Wedding. Probably the most gorgeous Wedding photo's I have ever seen shot by no one other than Mario Testino :-) Take a look at some of my favourites:

Her dress was designed by the one and only John Galliano who I simply adore and sadly miss him so much :-(... But that's a different story. This Wedding was a fairytale and simple yet so beautiful and modest. The colours are so elegant and dreamy. A Wedding is a day (some) girls dream of. Only today I was discussing with my own Mother about wedding's and how beautiful I want mine to be, just like Kate's :-)

Just another Manic Monday....
I am super tired today. As I stayed round my friends house last night - was up till 4am watching Hannibal and then Bridget Jones Diary 2. Both such brilliant films (and if you did not know, they have confirmed they shall be filming Bridget Jones 3 wooooo!) And then I had a very rough nights sleep, not sure if I even slept at all! So here is a little post. Then I shall go for a nap and post again later :-) I shall leave you with a photo of the magazines I need to get through this month.......

#BringMcQueenExhibitionHome
So as soon as I heard the news that there was to be an Alexander McQueen Exhibition showcasing his most stunning and beautiful pieces from collections over the years - my heart lifted. How wonderful the thought was to see Lee McQueen's Armadillo shoes, his famous bumster torusers and all the outfits from Plato's Atlantis (SS10), The Horn of Plenty (FW09), La Dame Bleue (SS08), Sarabande (SS07), It's Only A Game (SS05), Pantheon Is Lecum (FW04) and The Dance of the Twisted Bull (SS02) - Just a few of my favourite collections Lee designed, despite every single one being so precious to me.
When I found out the exhibition would me and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York!! My heart really did sink to the deepest level. I was truly sad and my dreams of seeing Lee McQueen's work were shattered. The exhibition went on called: Savage Beauty. From the photo's that I saw, they did do a beautiful job of it and it really was a success:
So please please click below and sign the petition! Not only this will be aprivelidge for people like me in the UK but also the rest of Europe. So sign the petition, as many times as you like! Pass the word on - post on your blogs, websites, twitter etc and lets #BringMcQueenExhibitionHome !!

From the photo's that I saw, they did do a beautiful job of it and it really was a success:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today that Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty is the eighth most visited exhibition in its 141-year history, putting the designer in the same category as exhibitions including Treasures of Tutankhamun (1978), Mona Lisa (1963), and Picasso in The Metropolitan Museum of Art(2010). In total 661,509 visitors viewed the exhibition during its run from May 4 to August 7, making it easily the most-viewed show since the Costume Institute became part of the Museum in 1946. - Vogue.comI always thought of petitioning to get the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibition to come to England and finally someone has done this! The lovely Melanie Rickey aka Fashion Editor at Large has started the petition to do so! It makes so much sense - Lee McQueen was born in England, he was English, he studied in London, he lived in London! HE BELONGS TO ENGLAND! And this is why the exhibition needs to come to England - it would be a dream come true (even though they should have started it in England in the first place..)

Quick update
I have had such a busy day today and very content to be snuggled in bed with a glass of delicious milk and Galaxy chocolate yumm. My day has just been a constant blur and now is actually the first time all day I have sat down. I really do have lots of topics I want to blog about including the September Issue of Vogue US of which the cover was released today and some photo's and also I read about Paloma Picasso in this month's Vogue UK and her new Tiffany & Co collection is absolutely sublime and also about the petition to bring the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty Exhibition to the UK! But, that shall have to wait for another day when I'm more focussed (tomorrow..)
Today I bought lots of Arty supplies because I felt like it including these Derwent Academy watercolour pencils and sketching pencils - all new for my summer project, of which I really should have started ages ago... (so much to do guyss!!).
And that is all I have to say for today folks. I have just finished downloading these 2 albums: Foster the People and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zero's. So now it is time to bid you all a very goodnight and to have very sweet dreams! I shall also leave you with a song by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zero's of which I am in love with right now, enjoy! xxxxxxx

Master Class
The September Issue of Vogue is my favourite issue of the year. It is the ultimate issue and I always look forward to it when it comes out. It may not be what it used to be - as you can now get up to date fashion news on websites, blogs, twitter etc. But as it says in the September Issue film (of which if you haven't seen, you really must) 'September is the January in Fashion'.
I am totally in love with a lot of Autumn/Winter collections this year too, a few to name: Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Mugler, Louis Vuitton (I could go on, but I won't) So this September Issue is a big one for me.
Whilst reading through 2011 September Issue of Vogue, I stumbled across what could possibly be one of my all time favourite shoots. 'Master Class' is the name of the shoot. It is shot by Mario Testino (one of my favourite fashion photographers) and is modelled by the beautiful Arizona Muse and Freja Erichsen. It really is a beautiful shoot! The pieces are so elegantly put together, and so dark yet so deep - divine. The face that they used McQueen AW11 just makes my heart beat ten times faster than normal. It really is a beautiful shoot and one of the best to come out of Vogue UK in my opinion :) Take a look below! Or if I was you, go buy the September issue of Vogue....
